Enrichment Visits
What is an Enrichment Visit?
How is it different better than a walk?
For starters, this is not a dog walking service! Instead, during our visit, it’s your dogs time to do what they want*. If they want to spend their time outside enjoying a bone, that’s what we’ll do because that is what they need. Of course we can go for that neighborhood walk if that’s something your dog actually enjoys! We might also go to a nearby park or splash in the puddles if it just rained. We might stay home and play agility or nosework games.
It’s all about your dog’s needs. And meeting them is what is going to help your dog “calm down”, not long walks that consist of only walking. The majority of our dogs have needs for exercise and mental stimulation that go beyond “walks”. They might want to: dig, shred, play, swim, sniff, run, chew, chase, and be chased. Taking your dog for a long walk where they are only allowed to walk isn’t going to tire them out. It’s going to build their stamina and they’ll eventually need longer walks.
And, if your dog struggles with neighborhood walks, forcing them to take part in this activity that they don’t enjoy can lead to their behavior becoming worse and leave them in a heightened state of stress.

My enrichment visits offer a consistent experience. If you hire a company with multiple employees, you don’t always know who is taking your dog out. What if it’s a new person that doesn’t know your dog? Some dogs actually struggle with these changes and it shows in their behavior.
Many of these companies also take out multiple dogs in “pack walks” to save time and fit in more customers. The truth is most dogs don’t like these types of walks. I take your dog out solo so they can have the time they need away from the human word.
Due to my trainer & behavior coach background I’m experienced in working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I specialize in working with dogs that are fearful, reactive, or have other behavioral challenges. I know how to create a safe and positive environment for them, and I’m patient and understanding.
Availability & Price
40 or 60 minute Enrichment Visits are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. What option is best for your dog? That depends on their needs. If they aren’t very active and just need to be let out and spend time in the yard, 40 minutes is great. But if they are active and need more than a quick walk in the neighborhood, consider the 60 minute visit.
No surprises here – what you see listed is EXACTLY what you will pay. Purchase and schedule multiple visits and receive a discount! You can schedule multiple visits in the same week, or once a week consecutively.
